Spectralux Avionics (www.spectralux.com), a prominent manufacturer of mission critical human machine interface and lighting products, today announced that its Spectralux Avionics™ Flight Deck Lighting Modules, Power Control Units, and related software have been chosen by The Boeing Company for the 777X airplane program. The equipment to be supplied includes 11 lighting modules used to provide ambient lighting throughout the flight deck and 2 power control units used to regulate and control them.

According to Boeing, the 777X builds on the success of many technology developments introduced on the 777 and 787 airplanes, including increased engine and fuel efficiency, superior aerodynamics, and lighter, composite components. The flight deck lighting modules supplied by Spectralux Avionics are designed to support the needs of these modern aircraft and feature a digital interface, lightweight components, and state-of-the-art electronics. Spectralux Avionics will design and manufacture the modules and control units in its Redmond, Washington, facility.
