REDMOND, WASHINGTON, May 23, 2016 – Spectralux Avionics today announced it has received notification from the United States Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) that its human machine interface products have been added to the Qualified Parts List (QPL). The QPL covers a broad range of products under the MIL-DTL-7788 category of Panels, Information, and Integrally Illuminated Products.
Spectralux builds light plates, control panels and switch panels for many commercial OEM’s. Eric Elison, Director of Sales and Marketing for the company, is excited about receiving the QPL Certification. Eric stated “Spectralux has a 40 year history of delivering high quality products for our flight deck customers. This certification makes it easy for government and commercial customers to understand our ability to build product to the specifications required in the demanding cockpit environment. This coupled with our, engineering design services, in-house manufacturing, FAA and EASA approved Part 145 repair center designations, allows us to provide customers with a one-stop, strategic sourcing solution.”
Daniel Salazar, Spectralux Avionics Manager of OEM and Tier One Sales is equally excited. “Many of my OEM customers want to know that we are on the QPL. Our ability to achieve this certification should help reduce the work required by sourcing specialists to select qualified suppliers. That helps them reduce acquisition cost and improve cycle times associated with source selection. All of that contributes to lower overall cost for owners and operators, regardless of whether they are in private industry or National Defense.”
